Why your Nicovape® Q V2 might not activate — and how to fix it

See: How to tell which Nicovape® Q version you have
There are a few common reasons why your Nicovape® Q V2 may not activate even when charged.
🔐 1. Your device is locked
If the device is locked:
-
Nothing will happen when you puff.
-
The LED shows "white" when you touch the USB-C port.
How to unlock it:
-
Tap the USB-C port five times quickly.
-
You’ll feel a short vibration and see a green LED flash to confirm the device is unlocked.
-
-
You can now puff normally.
Note: Locking the device works the same way — five taps will trigger a white LED flash and a vibration to indicate the device is locked.
🛑 2. The cartridge may be empty
Unlike V1, Version 2 does not use a “No-Liquid Lock.” Instead:
-
If no liquid is detected, the device will vibrate once and not produce vapour.
-
If you try again and there is still no liquid, it will vibrate again and continue to block power.
What to do:
-
Check if the cartridge is empty:
-
Use the myNicovapeQ portal
-
Look for visible liquid inside the cartridge
-
-
If it’s empty, replace it with a new cartridge
-
If liquid remains, try puffing again after holding the device upright for a few moments (liquid may have temporarily moved away from the atomiser)
No reset is required — the device will automatically try again on your next puff.
🔋 3. The battery may be fully discharged
Even if the device was recently charged, it may be fully flat if it hasn't been used in a while.
How to check:
-
Touch the USB-C port:
-
If the battery is flat, the device will vibrate twice and show a flashing red LED
-
Charge the device using the USB-C charger and try again after 15–30 minutes
-
