Using Nicovape® Q V1 or V2?
This article includes separate instructions for each version of the device.
Not sure which version you have?
Touch and hold the USB-C port:
-
🔋 If the light stays on the whole time you're touching it → You have V1
-
⚡ If the light turns on but then goes off after about 1.5 seconds → You have V2
🟦 Nicovape® Q V1 – LED and Vibration Behaviour
During inhalation/use:
-
🔴 Red light + vibration = No-Liquid Lock
-
Either the cartridge is empty or temporarily unable to produce aerosol.
-
The device will not work again until reset.
-
To reset, remove and reattach the cartridge.

After inhalation:
-
🟣 Purple LED = Cartridge is under 20% full
-
🔴 Red LED + vibration = Cartridge is nearly empty
When touching the USB-C port:
-
🟢 Green = Battery 100–50%
-
🟠 Amber = Battery 50–20%
-
🔴 Red = Battery under 20%
Note: The No-Liquid Lock is a safety system that prevents use when insufficient liquid is detected. Resetting it re-enables puffing if the cartridge still contains liquid.
🟪 Nicovape® Q V2 – LED and Vibration Behaviour
During inhalation/use:
-
❌ No LED display
-
The LED light does not activate while puffing.
-
When touching the USB-C port:
-
🟢 Green = Battery 100–50%
-
🟠 Amber = Battery 50–20%
-
🔴 Red = Battery under 20%
-
🔴 Flashing = Battery fully discharged
Special LED Indicators:
-
🟣 Purple LED = Liquid below 20%
Shown after the battery charge indicator when USB-C is held for 2 seconds.
Vibration Alerts:
-
🫨 Single vibration = No liquid detected
- 🫨🫨 Double vibration = Battery fully discharged

🔐 White LED + vibration = Device locked
-
✅ Green LED + vibration = Device unlocked
