Nicovape® Q has two versions currently in circulation. Both use the same cartridges, but the devices behave slightly differently.
Use the test below to find out which version you have.
✅ The Fastest Way to Check
Touch and hold the USB-C port. What happens?
Behaviour | Your Version |
---|---|
🔋 Battery light stays on | Nicovape Q V1 |
⚡ Battery light flashes then turns off | Nicovape Q V2 |
This check works even if the battery is low (you may see a red flash before it fades).
🧠 What’s Different About V1 and V2?
Feature | Nicovape Q V1 | Nicovape Q V2 |
---|---|---|
LED shows during puffing | ✅ Yes | ❌ No |
No-Liquid Lock | Full lockout + reset required | Single vibration, no reset required |
Low Liquid warning | Purple LED after puff | Purple LED after holding USB-C for 1.5s |

📦 Note on Version Availability
Nicovape® Q Version 1 is being gradually phased out. While it remains fully supported, all newly released devices are Version 2.
You may still find V1 in some locations or in stock with certain providers. Both versions use the same cartridges, and all guidance will continue to support both while V1 is in circulation.
