This article explains how to store Nicovape® Q cartridges at home or during travel to prevent them from becoming damaged or leaking. Never keep loose blisters in a pocket or bag.
Nicovape® Q cartridges are individually packaged in high-quality blister packaging, providing strong protection against moisture, air, and changes in air pressure.
Your pharmacist may have supplied them to you in a shrink-wrapped box or as individual blisters, part-dispensed from a box.
Follow this advice to prevent the cartridges from becoming damaged or leaking before use:
- Never keep spare blister-packaged cartridges in a pocket or bag
Cartridges will leak if you keep the blisters loose in your pocket or bag. This happens when the blister packaging gets squashed - the pressure change forces liquid out of the cartridge.
If you wish to keep a spare cartridge on your person, keep it in a protective case or box. - Keep cartridges in their original blister packaging until you are ready to use them.
The blister packaging provides protection against moisture in the atmosphere. If kept for an extended period without this protection, the liquid solution will take on moisture, causing leakage and a degradation in performance. - Where possible, store blister packages so that the cartridge mouthpiece faces down
By keeping the cartridges upside down, any changes in pressure cannot cause them to leak. - When supplied in a seven-box, keep the box upright
The cartridges are packaged upside-down in the box, which is the orientation they should be stored.
